Comfortable and friendly

Beautiful old pub with friendly staff and gud food

One complaint only and that was poor quality pillows so didn’t sleep well

Excellent, lovely staff, food and room.

Lovely location, very quiet. Staff lovely and friendly and service was very good. Room was nice and clean and well equipped. Really nice.

Not much really, it was a very nice stay. My only dislike was the breakfast. Disappointing to have to eat in the room and little variation. We stayed two nights and whilst the breakfast box was replenished, the fridge was not. No new juice of yoghurt. Would have been nice to come downstairs and have a coffee with a croissant!

Exceptional

We loved the welcome,we got booked in very quick,the lovely lady behind the bar got us a taxi,she was very helpful...The rooms are lovely very clean you have tea coffee and biscuits..We would definitely stay there again...The breakfast can't forget that out standing...

fantastic.

Our stay at the Red Lion was fantastic. Great location, great staff, great facilities. We were astounded at the quality of the accommodation and the welcome from the staff. food was great and the quiet rural location was just what we were after. we will and already have recommended the Red Lion to friends. This place is well and truely top of our list of places to stay if we are in the area again.

Excellent walking around Hellidon and delicious food in a very quiet location!

Food was delicious. The room was comfortable and cjeam abd we were made to feel very welcome.

One of the best pubs we have stayed in , very clean , staff helpful and cheerful, good food would recommend it if one is in the area.

Very good

The Red Lion is a lovely country pub with rooms. The bedroom was a good size and nicely furnished with a spotless big bathroom. The dinner menu had a good range of meals, and my choices of both starter and main were very good. Lovely friendly staff.

It's a small gripe but there isn't anything in the room to put your bag on.

Set in a stunning location this is a beautiful place to stay. Excellent food. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful and went the extra mile to make our staff perfect.

The bedroom only had a small mirror which for a lady always makes life a little difficult. The breakfast box was excellent, but would have preferred a full English.

A romantic weekend away. The venue, staff and food were fantastic.

Food was great, Staff were really pleasant and made us feel welcome. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and the shower was amazing. We definitely will go back.

Charming boutique pub hotel, would definitely stay again

Don’t hesitate “just book” you will not go wrong

Location was perfect. Rural and quiet. The breakfast was also excellent with plenty of options and pleasant, friendly staff.

More time to have another couple of nights.

Good Stay

The breakfast box provided a very good continental selection for us. The room was very modern and comfortable. The welcome was very good. Our room overlooked the car park but we didn't hear any punters leaving the pub.

My husband had to return the pint of beer as it didn't taste right.

Delightful place, would stay again

Lovely traditional village setting. Dinner was excellent - great traditional food, really well cooked, good service. Breakfast was continental style in the room which we knew about and it was fine. Fresh milk, cereals, croissants and cake along with hot and cold drinks. Cooked breakfasts are served at weekends. The nature of the building means the rooms are compact, although had what looked like a brand new good sized bathroom.

What a gem

Pretty pub in a lovely village. The staff were great - helpful & knowledgeable. There was a great choice of food on the menu & we all (3 of us) agreed it was a lovely meal. The smoked haddock mousse was amazing! Our room was immaculate & very comfortable. A very good experience.
