The room was large with a medium mattress bed that was very comfortable. WiFi was excellent and the bathroom and toilet was separate which prevented waiting for use. The bathroom contained A lovely bath with a shower head separate to the shower which had excellent power and fixed temperature during use. The balcony was lovely with a pool and seaview from floor 5. Floor 6 would have provided a better seaview.
The staff were very professional and extremely friendly. The receptionist Spy was always helpful and willing to engage in western banter.
Taxis were required to get to Kata beach after 6pm which were expensive compared to other parts of Thailand.
The hotel happy hour was an hour at two different times of the day. The cocktails were two for one but you had to have the same cocktail as the second drink. There should have been some flexibility around this.

Very nice and cooperative staff, they even celebrated my birthday.. rooms were super clean I will highly recommend this hotel , it was in quite place and would love to come back to Yama hotel

Located up in the mountains it is just minutes away from the city, yet it is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The food at their restaurant is absolutely amazing, we tried almost everything and were never disappointed. Service is also very good specially Tong at the reception, and the staff at the restaurant ( forgot the name of the lady with short hair).
The wash basin was inside the room so if one hd to waah their hands or use the wash basin one would end up waking/ disturbing their partner.

I had to pay a deposit, although it was returned in full, it makes me devalue the hotel when they do this, depo was 2000 bhat
