loud party place

staff was helpful and friendly, location at the beach is nice although the ocean was too wild to go swimming they have free coffee in the morning and water

in theory it‘s a nice place, however you‘re not allowed to consume any outside food or drinks(because they run their own restaurant) and it‘s just constantly too loud/noisy especially at night. it‘s a party place where people come to on weekends. If that‘s your kind of thing you‘ll probably enjoy the place- if you‘re looking for a place to relax close to the beach you‘ll find something quieter.

Not my best

Didn’t have a kitchen, not much to doo in Monterrico, kind of sketchy place… Lot’s of mosquito at night even if I have a mosquito net on my bed. It’s expensive for what it is.. Nice pool with a bar and billard table too!

Perfect Oasis

The staff (all) made you feel like family. very good attention to client details. The location could not get any better. the restaurant and hang out area was right on the beach. speaking of the restaurant, the food was amazing.

the ceiling was open to other rooms and outside. there was a screen for bug protection but you could hear if your neighbors we’re having a better time than you😏. pool/beach breaks fixed that.

Superb

Relaxing hotel with bar and restaurant on the beach, communal showers but very clean, complimentary coffee for breakfast, secure parking for motorcycles separate from car parking, mosquito nets over the beds

Due to the structure of the building - wooden and thatched roof, noise travels between rooms, so it doesn't feel very private, we didn't hear noise from the bar/restaurant though which other reviews have mentioned.

Great location, very nice beach and not many people. Good food and facilities in hotel

Next door bar/restaurant played loud music till 4am. Lots and lots of mosquitos (probably seasonal problem and not hotels fault)

music until morning... hotel requests from you to be quiet after 10 pm but until 4 am you are forced to listen loud music from bar so this hotel is more for party people then for people who look for calm and quiet place ;)

Superb

Location is perfect, staff was wonderful, price was highly competitive and felt like a steal to have Pacific frontage in a clean/safe environs with A/C for what we paid. Would certainly stay here again!

Neighboring party one night was super loud, but frankly with our A/C it didn't affect our ability to fall asleep at all.

Had a great time staying here

The location and how close it was to the beach the food was good and staff were very friendly our First room had a leak in the roof but they were happy to move us. Airport transfer was really good and also our ride to the lake

Wouldn't stay there again

Right at the beach

Our room had no complete walls/ceiling and it was very loud, especially on the weekend. The food in the restaurant was ok, not great. The showers and toilets were usually dirty. It was really hot, we only had a fan in our room which was super noisy. And soooo many mosquitos.

An amazing experience and I will be back again to enjoy with friends!

I loved the whole experience, the super fun, friendly, and helpful staff, the pool and the bar and hearing the loud waves crashing at high tide from my room. I loved the music and the folks who work here are truly amazing and I can't thank them enough! At least for me it was like staying at an all-inclusive resort but so much better and so much cheaper. I can also tell you that I have tried the pizza all around Monterrico and the pizza at this hotel is by far the best in the entire town. Great restaurant, great bar, great everything. I will be back with friends to have another great time!!! Thank you Hotel El Delfín!!!

Excellent location food and prices

Room's quality , stuff looks old and dirty, they need a little bit of paint and new equipment like the Fan, blanquets and Net. Also it would be nice if provide a couple of towels and amenities.

Overall comfort - rooms have no noise privacy, hangers etc, mattresses are uncomfortable, staff a little slow and inaccesible

Perfect location!

Very nice location, right at the beach. The Hotel has a restaurant with delicious food and on the weekends you can enjoy some live music at the bar. The staff is just amazing, super friendly and ready to help anytime! This is a perfect accomodation to chill some days at the beach. Just be careful when swimming, the swell is pretty strong in Monterrico.

could probably be cleaner. sand everywhere is a given at the beach so no worries about that, but I felt the showers could be a bit better.

Very good

Hostel has big territory with pool, bar, restaurant with great menu also. And located on the amazing black sand beach with sunset view. Our room was near the beach so we fall asleep with the sound of the ocean which was very cool

because of location it can be mosquitos but our room had canopy and we didn't experienced such problems
