The manager was fantastic- friendly & went out of her way to be helpful.
Modern, very clean, comfortable room with table & chairs, sliding glass door to small outdoor area. Great location across a quiet road from a park & the beautiful, peaceful Far Beach. We were on a long road trip, so loved the free laundry & access to an outdoor line.
The very soft pillows but hey..not a problem really

We liked the spacious, light filled room. It ha everything we needed for our 4 day stay.
The staff were very friendly & helpful. The bed was very comfortable & the shower was lovely & warm.
Outside noise levels were low, & it was a short drive to the centre of Mackay for cafe's & restaurants. Meals were also available at the hotel opposite the motel.
Unfortunately the TV was not easy to use for streaming, YouTube, etc.
It requires the guests mobile phone to be registered & could only mirror the phone, & only when registered. Given the dangers of giving phone details & access, we decided not to use that type of service. We prefer places that allow pretty much instant access to YouTube, Netflix, or streaming media. That was a bit of a let down.
Also, the motel has the tightest parking I have experienced after staying in dozens of motels.
In a medium size SUV, it was extremely cramped making it difficult to get in & out of the car.
Having said that, this is still one of the best motels in Mackay.

Lady at reception was very friendly, room was clean
Bed was insanely hard. We had to leave at 4am because we couldnt tolerate it any longer.
