Hotel Rural El Portón de Murillo

We stayed in the Junior Suite, a luxurious stone hut that guests have all to themselves. Gorgeous, comfortable, with spectacular views. The skies are so dark that the stars put on a spectacular show. (Go up by the pool, away from the lights on motion sensors.)

I wish we had stayed longer.

The location was perfect - Broto is a relaxing but lively village situated in the stunning Broto Valley. I arrived by public transport, and while provision is limited in the rural region, Broto is comparatively well connected. Broto is also a short distance from Torla, the gateway to the Ordesa-Monte Perdido National Park. The room was beautifully decorated with good facilities and the views of the Church of San Pedro of Broto, Sorrosal Ravine, and of the prominent Mondarruego massif from the balcony were extraordinary. The communal areas were also of a very good standard. The kitchen was very useful. And there is a large and well decorated lounge, and an expansive outdoor area with lots of seating, including a lovely swimming pool perfectly situated for 360 degrees views of the beautiful valley. The host and his family were incredibly helpful and kind. I travelled Spain for a month and my 3 night stay was a standout. 10/10, wish I'd stayed longer, and would return.

It was a bit of heaven. Stunning location with a beautiful pool. The owner was so clear and helpful. The views are incredible. Our holiday treat is to eat out every night, but with such a lovely location we had a takeaway pizza. No restaurant in town could beat this setting! After nights in standard hotels, it was a joy to have a real shared kitchen where we could store lunch stuff and make sandwiches. And the light switches! I love them! Nothing!
