Location to beach was amazing the rooms were gigantic with air conditioning fans and had a lovely balcony. The price was great, run by a lovely family. Sri Lankan and German couple, meant we could sample different meals. The couple are a great example of hard work to build dreams.The lady had spent 25years working for Mac Donald’s in Germany on miniumum wage, while husband had worked as an engineer. The place continues to get better.
We didn’t plan properly for monsoon season, so the sea was not safe to swim in, the property lacked a pool however the hotel down the beach were happy for us to use theirs if we bought from their bar ( this hotel was 3 times more expensive to stay at :) The existing owners of Raja hotel were saving to build a pool.

Frühstück & Abendessen fantastisch, lecker und mit viel Herz frisch zubereitet. Ganze Anlage wunderschön und perfekt zum Entspannen. Direkt am schönen (menschenleeren) Strand. Für uns das Beste, was uns nach unserer 3-wöchigen Rundreise passieren konnte. Wir hatten da den perfekten Abschluss. Lalani & Steffen sind herzliche Gastgeber und uns direkt an's Herz gewachsen.

Fantastic location along a deserted beach, set in beautiful gardens. The room was extremely spacious. The staff worked very hard to ensure a smooth running of the place.
It lacked a swimming pool. Hopefully one will be installed soon as the sea is very powerful by the hotel. The air con could be better.

The hotel is located facing very clean tropical beach and is surrounded by beautiful garden. Is conveniently located for Madu river safari with trip to Cinnamon Island and demonstration of cinnamon preparation. The hotel will book for you the sightseeing trips. The rooms a very spacious and comfortable with en suit large bathroom. Is very clean inside and out.
The owners and staff made lot of effort to ensure that all our needs were met. The home cooked food was delicious. Thank you very much for looking after us.
The property is slightly away from the main road, so not all taxis want to drive there, however the hotel will organise taxi if needed. No TV in the room.
