Superb

They have a book about a Russian propagandist Vladimir Solovyov in the lobby. Not sure what the book is about but since its in Russian but its super weird given the war in Ukraine and his support and justification for it.

Good value for money: clean, friendly staff, good breakfast. Not great for light sleepers.

Good location, large room, AC, friendly staff, good breakfast.

Very thin walls so not great if you're a light sleeper. I would be woken up around 7am every morning, hearing other guests and staff walking around, talking etc. Also, whilst the place is good value for money, you should think of it as a base to sleep. The rooms do not look very nice, just practical.

Grand Old Dame Thermal Bath Hotel for a Charming Step Back in Time Stay

I knew the hotel did not have fantastic ratings but it looked like an “old world Palace hotel” so I took it. I took the Half-Board option and I was happy I did ! Hotel is clean. Yes the room feels old style like the 70’s but that’s the charm of an old world hotel. This hotel was a Grand Dame decades ago. I had a great sea view. The hotel is super convenient for stays at the Thermal Baths which is just below the hotel. There is some sulfur odor coming from the Thermal Baths so take note. Breakfast was good and ample. What sucked was the coffee ! It was a Nestle Powdered Coffee Machine. Seriously ?! When I stayed here the town was all but closed down so me eating dinner at the hotel was a great idea. High quality food and service. The hotel is in a great location downtown. For beach goers this is NOT FOR YOU unless you have a car to go to other beaches.

The pillows were like pieces of unplayable plywood boards. Totally weird.

Exceptional

Excellent location, access to the sea is just across the street. The whole place has some old-fashion charm, super cute and super clean. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, stuff very kind and helpful.

Seriously need alot of renovation

Staffs were friendly. Breakfast was simple but nice. We had to queue for it because one staff was serving the guests. Location was nice. 15 mins drive to Castro.

I'm speechless.Outside the hotel looks good. A hotel building since 1929 I was told. We were with 3. Given initially a room with 3 beds. The aircon was noisy, hence we requested a change and was given 2 seperate double room which we thought would be better. The room we had 311 was worse. Shower cabin leaked. Toilet couldn't flush. Bed frame was old. Furniture weren't looking good. With such conditions, the price per night is rather high. Not happy with it.

Essential

The location was perfect. Very close to the sea. Lot of shops and restaurants around the area. The parking reserved just for the hotel guests. Great breakfast! Very clean room.

The style of the hotel is a bit old. They should renew it. The lift is very slow.

The location is great and the hotel provides you with free access to the Terme. Free parking adjacent to the hotel. We had a room with sea view which is gorgeous. Breakfast staff was nice and efficient. The hotel and rooms are very clean. Price is more than fair.

While we had an amazing sea view we could not enjoy it as much because the AC in the room was not working properly therefore we had to keep the shades down to not warm up the room any further. We asked for servicing but instead they turned the AC down... (questionable way of fixing the issue). The hotel decor is so sterile that it looks like a 50s hospital... rooms are quite dated but the price reflects it and it’s more than fair.
