Fort Kochi is a charming, historic, and relaxed place to visit with some fascinating sites. The Bungalow offers a perfect base for exploring. Although it doesn’t look like a traditional English bungalow, it is a beautiful building, housing lots of great art.
The heritage style room is well maintained, comfortable, clean and peaceful. The bathroom has lots of hot water.
Joseph is always available to engage with guests’ queries and is totally invested in making everyone’s stay the best it can be. He arranged our laundry, advised us on tourist sights and even discussed British history!
The friendly host creates a welcoming, home-from-home atmosphere where guests socialise together. The staff are well organised to accommodate anything you need - even an auto-rickshaw ride and guide to the local area.
Our breakfast was delicious and great value. We hadn’t ordered one with our room but got jealous when we saw other people eating. The cook whisked up a tasty meal in moments.
All in all, the Fort Bungalow provided us with the best homestay we could have imagined.

The Fort Bungalow was a comfortable place to stay, with a lovely heritage charm. The location was well connected, making it easy to explore Fort Kochi and nearby attractions. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The host was very helpful, welcoming and supportive, which made the experience even better
I had a comfortable stay overall and nothing major to complain about
