This is more like a boutique hotel than a hostel. It is a standout facility with excellent staff, service and the bar with the Jazz band was outstanding...

I liked that it had everything I could possibly need
I didn’t like that the staff put me in a top bunk when the one below me was unoccupied I’m 65.

Great location in Kyoto. Communal parts are quite nice.
No cleaning of the room for 4 nights. Very basic amenities.
