For the price we paid and being sold 1 room but then it said adjoining rooms with shared bathroom it was not as we expected Site said rooms were soundproofed but my room, next to the toilet, was definitely not soundproofed Lack of facilities in the rooms. No mirror in my mums room and we were only left 1 bottle of water in our rooms on day 1 and they were not replenished apart from 1 bottle being left on the table at breakfast. Kettle/fridge/coffee maker were situated in a shed in the garden and to fill the kettle up you had to use an outside tap. Fridge wasn’t very clean. There was mention of a “coffee house” at this place….. I went to use the kettle in what I thought was the “coffee house” and was given clear instruction to go to the shed. I was also told off for walking through the property to my bedroom and it was made clear we had to walk outside to our rooms albeit we had to use the shower room right at the end of the corridor and once I showed the owner my toothbrush as I could feel her glaring at me for walking down this corridor. My mum who is 87 and suffering with a broken shoulder asked the lady of the house if she could put a sheet on her bed rather than the thick duvet (it had been a hot day) and my mum was told no sheet available and that she must take the duvet out of the cover herself and just use the cover. This was not acceptable but she suffered in silence. The towels were like sandpaper The pillows not comfortable My mum asked for a fan in her bedroom which was supplied but that was the only 1 they had for all the bedrooms there. The lady of the house didn’t seem to be a happy soul and might have been more welcoming; we finally got a smile when we were leaving. A smile goes a long way. We didn’t complain whilst we were there, we just got on with it hence this review. It wasn’t good value for money, well not the money we’ve paid. Would we go back…… no
