Hosts Tada and Shiyomi are exceptionally welcoming and show immense respect to their guests. Everything was perfectly planned. Shiyomi greeted us with a beautiful, traditionally whisked matcha tea. The 100-year-old traditional house is stunning, full of character, and spotlessly clean. The futons were very comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's rest. Book the room with direct access to the garden if you can - it is absolutely fantastic!

This is a real guest-house, run by a couple who make hospitality and kindness their first priority - I don't think I've ever been given so much warm attention on arriving in a place before. This was their childhood home - every detail shows their devotion to it. This is a very special experience - I will always remember it.

We loved the location so close to Kitano Tengu and other shrines or temples. The historic house is beautiful! Very comfy beds on tatami mats. There is a washing machine and dryer for use. We loved the friendly welcome we received with special matcha tea preparation and wagashi sweet. The best matcha tea I had during my time in Japan! The owners went above and beyond to help us with travel plans even driving us to train station for train to Tokyo. A perfect end to our 3 weeks in Japan!! Recommend staying here more than 1 night and cycling along river bike trails.Thank you!
