Beautiful ryokan in a more quiet neighborhood. Perfect if you want the traditional japanese feeling while still being very close to a train station and other attractions. The staff, especially Yoko san, were so kind and welcoming. Our room and adjoining garden were beautiful and cozy. Everything was spotlessly clean, and great amenities were provided (shower and skincare products, tea and tea set, snacks on arrival, and Yoko san even poured us some plum wine.) The futons were very comfortable. They arranged bicycle parking for us and held our luggage after checkout which was extremely helpful. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with phenomenal service. We were given a key fob so we could return to the inn on our own time in the evening, which was also appreciated.
Be aware that since this is a small inn in an old home, noise does travel and you may be able to hear your neighbors. Other guests were very quiet and respectful during our stay so it wasn't much of a problem.

Amazing space. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Plus quality touches throughout - like wonderful soaps and toiletries. The Japanese breakfast was exceptional - the best we had in Japan. And the staff were all lovely and exceedingly helpful.

We had a wonderful stay in this small ryokan, which is only a few minutes walk from the train station. The beat part was certainly our hostess, Yoko, who helped us navigate the city, made reservations for us, & researched
our travel needs. Both the traditional & continental breakfasts were delicious! Thank you for all your help!
