Very close to the beach. Relaxed place. Nice staff. Great fun tour of Green Canyon with Leo as guide. Good wifi

Good internet. Nicely decorated hostel. Near the beach. Great if you're a surfer. The boys who host it are friendly, obviously more to some than others
There was dried human waste on the bed sheets. The staff strugged it off. A cat happily walks around where they prepare your breakfast

Such a pleasure to be here. The guys running the daily show are super friendly and sometimes entertaining. Always ready to answer a question or to help out. The shared space is friendly and really invites to use it. Breakfast is really good and fresh. The cold beers from the Honesty Bar are perfect. No doubt, next visit to Pangandaran, this would be my place to stay.

Nice and spacious common areas, free water, tea and coffee and a decent breakfast. Very friendly tour guides.
I was possibly just unlucky but would not recommend this place for female solo travellers off-season/during holidays. I was the only guest for the end of ramadan and found myself alone with a locked front gate in the morning. Catherine tried to be helpful through whatsapp messages and had told me that services would be limited for the day, but something clearly went wrong in her communication with her staff. Also, I guess because Pangandaran is a small place, there were zero females around in the hostel when there were no other female guests. At the same time there are many men (staff and their friends). It definitely didn‘t feel unsafe, but a little awkward at times. I don‘t think any of this is much of an issue if you travel in a group or have other guests around.
Condition of the rooms could be improved f.i by fixing the mosquito net and replacing the slightly disgusting and broken bin in the bathroom. I have stayed in nicer rooms for the same price, but it is all still bearable.
