Better stay somewhere else

The only good thing about this place is the view, but this is not a reason to stay there

As mentioned in earlier reviews, the kitchen is a total desaster, very dirty and disgusting, you don't want to touch anything let alone prepare food. The bedsheets were not fresh, luckily I had my own pillow/sleepingbag and the room smelled moist. The person taking care of it is unfortunately very unpleasant as well, almost tried to charge me extra for switching on the light during the day in the dark kitchen...but maybe it was better to leave it off anyhow. Better stay somewhere else.

Very poor conditions but a nice view

The view is really nice and the hotel have a lot of potential

The room smelled really bed, the bed was zero comfortable. We paid more for private bathroom and it smelled really bad and was completely dirty, for real. Not a good experience at all

Stay for the views!

The views were incredible from the terrace! The rooms were very large and comfortable.

The kitchen could have been cleaner and better organized. People staying did not clean dishes and maintain the space.

Needs more attention to cleaning

They have a nice view from the rooms that are upstairs and the deck.

They charged more than the app suggested. They also didn't give me the room I booked until the second night. I'm sure the bed sheets and pillows were not changed and cleaned in the first room we had, the entire room, sheets and pillows had a bad smell, like sweat. The second room had a really bad smell like the drain was sending back the smell from the toilet.

Great value private room with a view

Fabulous view of lake & volcanoes from terrace, peaceful in morning & fresh air...Kitchen for cooking own meals...not far to walk to the centre and even some nice cafes on the way. This room was 2 floors higher than my first time here - better view with terrace, and more peaceful as higher up from street/road level!

Nothing - really happy with my second stay here!

Not great

The room was clean enough. It was only a 5 minute walk from hippie highway. Nice view of the lake.

The place definitely isn't maintained. The rooftop area has potential but was very unkept. Kitchen was awful. I don't know how anyone cooked in it. Rooms were beyond basic. I think the sheets were clean but the blanket on top of us definitely wasn't. Would not stay here again. Definitely way too expensive for what you get. There's nothing chilled about it.

Ok for one night with your own bedsheets.

View was great. Location close to the centre. Price was good. Matress in my room was very comfortable.

Bedsheets, pillow covers and blanket was not washed after previous clients. Also after my check-out Pedro (probably caretaker) just put the pillow covers and blanket on the sun and used them again in another room, without washing them! That was disgusting. Bathrooms and the kitchen was not very clean. On the property in front of this place were many stray dogs, which were barking all night.

I don’t get the bad reviews here. You pay what you get, right? Don’t expect anything. it’s perfect for sleeping, bed was good and toilet and shower worked and were clean. The room was clean, not beautiful but clean. Great view and the owner was helpful

Pleasant

The view is awesome.

The room was like a dungeon. Scary. They need to do some work in upgrading the ambiance. Also no sign on the door and hard to find the right entrance.

great view, kitchen was ok but missing some utensils. The beds were comfy.

Great view from upper terrace. Juan Pablo (owner) was fantastic and great communication.

the rooms were slightly dirty, no hot water but that's not uncommon!

The view was incredible! The beds were super comfortable. The staff was very friendly. I absolutely loved my stay here. It was incredible as for the price. I think it's worth to stay here for more than one night.

Nice economical place in San Marcos

It was a really nice stay there. The rooms are quite big and the view is amazing. If the weather is nice you can enjoy the terrace and the view. beds were comfortable and the price for the room was really reasonable.

The kitchen was in really bad shape, we ended up not being able to use it. No real comfortable area to hangout, because the sofas are broken and only a couple of plastic chairs on the terrace. In the end felt more comfortable staying in the room, which is fine because the rooms were nice.

Good sized room which is okay for 1 night

Cheap room which does the job for 1 night Quiet Great views of lake atitlan Rooms are big

Kitchen is dirty, if you are planning to cook pick a different hostel. We opted to eat out because of this Bathrooms and showers are outside and again not the cleanest

Cheap.

Extremely noisy, other guests screaming through the night. Very poorly managed and the staff aren't there most of the time and do nothing to resolve problems.
