De kamer in het hotel was fijn en het hotel zag er super kleurrijk en mooi verzorgd uit.
Heel leuk dat je midden in de natuur zit en toch dicht bij het dorpje.
Vanaf de veranda heb je en prachtig uitzicht over het meer!
We hebben heerlijk ontbeten in het rerstaurant waar zelfs net na de eindtijd van het ontijt nog iets lekkers voor ons werd bereid.
Ook was het super dat we hier gratis gebruik mochten maken van de kayak waar we het meer mee zijn op gegaan.
Het dorpje San Juan is een favoriet geworden rondom Atitlan voor ons.
De weg naar het dorp werd tijdens ons verblijf gerenoveerd waardoor het iets minder makkelijk was om het te bereiken.

Eco Hotel Uxlabil is beautifully located over the lake, and the boat will leave you at the private quay if you ask. Our room was ample and clean, beds were comfy. Excellent breakfast, good restaurant. Free kayaks. Great temescal. Wonderful and kind stuff!
I left my cell phone in a store in the center and discovered it 30 minutes before I was supposed to leave. The manager arranged for one of the employees to take me there immediately. He found the owner (it was closed when we arrived) and took me back to the hotel. I am infinitely grateful.
Nothing to mention. FYI: the hotel is located on a hill so there are many stairs. It is not for people with physical disabilities.

Lovely view! Good breakfast! Has a private jetty that you can use for the lanchas, just had to ask reception to call one, which made it easier, especially when leaving with our luggage.
The bed was very small, room was very basic, and shower was difficult to use, with hot water providing only a small flow of water.

Quaint. Nice views of the lake.
No hot water. The water heater only got the shower barely above room temperature. Also, there was no mention of a GTQ250 ($33) fee for using the jacuzzi until it was time to check out. The attendant pointed to a notice on the wall behind his desk, which we of course didn’t notice when we checked in and wasn’t pointed out to us, and said that the charge was spelled out on the website, which we never visited because we book through Booking.com. The email we received from the property after booking also did not mention it.
