Charming , old school , well kept

The walkability getting to and from the resort. And a simple thing like a vending machine would help To be able to have a bottle of water or snack available, when the restaurant isn’t open . Or a small service area with beverages and snacks for those off times

If you want Mamma Mia-style charm of simple, clean, comfortable rooms, absolute beachfront position and views that will stop you in your tracks, then this little slice of Maronti Beach is magic. What it lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in location. Waking up metres from the water with that view is genuinely hard to beat. Breakfast was wholesome and generous, the limoncello spritzes flowed all day, dinners of home-cooked food after a day on the beach. The service was faultless throughout. For anything fancier, Sant'Angelo is an easy and beautiful day trip away, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Although Ischia is literally on the other side of the world for us, we were already planning a return before we'd even left. We loved it!

Nothing

Breakfast was simple, homely and delicious. The property was BEAUTIFUL with its own private beach areas and the most beautiful steps from inside the hotel straight into the sea. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The private balcony for each room + free beach chairs and umbrellas was a lovely surprise. Highly recommend.

Bear in mind a long, hot walk from nearest bus stop across a board walk, sand and steps. Maybe not suitable for very small children or elderly/disabled. Nearest supermarket is also 30 min walk away up a continuous steep hill. We didn’t mind at all, but won’t suit everyone!

It was a lovely place, right next to the sea, and we really enjoyed our stay. You can reach it from Sant'Angelo by boat for €5, or from the port, although that involves a walk, with some sections across the sand. Without luggage, it took us about 30–40 minutes. You can also walk from Sant'Angelo, although we didn't do the full route. We only tried part of it. It's an old path, but very picturesque, with beautiful views. I imagine it would take more than 30 minutes without luggage. There is a swimming pool, but it's a steep walk up, about 7 min. There aren't many cafés, restaurants, or entertainment options nearby, but there are a few. We had some very nice meals at the hotel. We also ate at Taverna Pietro Paolo Detto Stalino, which is about a 5-minute walk away, and really enjoyed it. We also visited the Antiche Terme Romane di Cavascura, which we liked very much. They are only about a 10-15-minute walk from the hotel. There weren't many fish to see while snorkeling, and we found that it was better to swim early in the morning, as the sea became a bit rough later in the day.
