Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Restaurant on the beach was special both in terms of location and food. Service was also good. Swimming pool was nice and not too crowded when we were there. Standard checkout is noon which is good. If you are a Hyatt member, it’s 1 pm which is even better.

Got double charged for breakfast. Mix up over my late checkout meant someone entered my room unexpectedly. Took a bit of effort to get this resolved but i was finally refunded the breakfast fee and also refunded the late checkout fee. People very friendly at front desk but things seemed to take a long time. Maybe just island time and best to chill?

Beautiful resort, huge! Lots of greenery, great pools, various restaurants, good rooms. Excellent breakfast with joyful Colombian hostess. Peaceful ambiance when we were at resort. Friendly staff, mostly Dutch. The minute you enter the water, you can snorkel, as there is lots of beautiful sea life right there. Great service of F & B on the beach. Close to airport and Kralendijk. Dinner at Brass Boer fine dining was a very nice experience! Camp fire night was fun! Booked a snorkling trip thru hotel on the Woodwind and it was absolutely the highlight of our trip! Would definitely return to Delfins!

Cocktails all tasted citrusy. A lot of food items had a curry sauce or condiment to them. Dinner at restaurant Kolo was disappointing, chewy meat and salad never arrived. Staff made no effort to make up for it. Ice cream place was not open. Limited assortment in the little on-site mini market. TV did not work on and off for 3 days and had to call multiple times about it. Access to the sea is either through (very) rocky beach or looong pier.

The resort is large, with a very nice swimming area (I saw a turtle from the small pier twice during my stay). Large pools, good for relaxation/ diving practice, but also for swimming laps. I also enjoyed having a diving lesson with Dive Friends Bonaire. The room and bathroom were quite large and very clean. Good breakfast buffet, including an omelette bar. Oh, and they have a cute cat in the Reception area.

There are 4 restaurants in total, but the range of food served for lunch/ dinner isn't great (with the caveat that the "fine dining" restaurant was closed for most of my stay and then booked out so couldn't go). Would have loved some sushi... Also perhaps add one or two chairs in the room, it was very sparsely furnished. If you don't have a car, there is no real way to walk anywhere, so just tours and taxis for exploring.
