Great value for the price. I stayed in a 3-bed room with a fan that helped keep it from getting too hot. The rooftop area was a wonderful place to go and rest during the hottest parts of the day. It has lots of shaded tables and couches, along with some large electric fans.
The toilet and the shower were in the same room, which made it a bit awkward to shower. The street directly outside the hostel was pretty noisy all through the night which made it slightly difficult to fall asleep, but other than that, I have no complaints!

Good location and helpful hosts, breakfast and rooftop was very nice. It was easy to socialize with other travelers

The staff including the owner were very polite and the check in was easy. It's close to the main road leading down to the Luxor temple.
The cleanliness was very, very poor. The bathroom and tub were scruffy and unkept. It was dilapidated and the shower rail was held together with tape. It really was a dire, squalid shambles of a room. More effort could have been made with regards to cleaning the place and making it presentable.
There was no soap in the bathroom so I had to buy my own which i shouldn't have had to do really.
