Beautiful, central, cozy place!

Beautiful, central, cozy place. The character of this old Thai home is unremarkable and the owner has done a beautiful job remodeling this into a hotel/BNB. The location is perfect, very close to multiple shops, restaurants, coffee bars, and facilities. The staff is very kind and accommodating. I would stay here again!

If it isn’t your vibe - be aware the included breakfast is not a served one. There are supplies and items for guests to eat and make themselves, very “self-serve” (including cleaning up after yourself and washing your dishes). More of an Airbnb set up. Otherwise I have no comments! It was a great place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay

I would give this a 9.5 score. First of all, I would definitely stay here again. We were very glad we chose this guesthouse. We stayed for 9 nights in an upstairs room facing the little street. Every room will likely have a slightly different experience. Very clean throughout, comfortable bed, good shower pressure/hot water/drain, good location in old city, spacious bright room, nice balcony for sitting, beautiful wood floors and furnishings, kind/friendly/helpful owners and staff, everything in good condition and updated. No shoes upstairs or in the rooms resulting in very clean floors. Breakfast - Communal kitchen to prepare your own breakfast and eat either inside or out in the patio. Nice to be able to quickly have some eggs/cereal/fruit/yogurt/toast/coffee/juice and go out sightseeing. Great when we had an early morning tour. Plenty of places half a block away to have an inexpensive breakfast as well. Yes, you need to wash your dishes but it wasn't the big deal I thought it might be. Across the small street, there is the Lanna Square nightly food market and live entertainment. Great option if you're too tired to go find a restaurant or just want to buy some mango sticky rice for dessert. Down the street, there are some clubs. You can't see them or enter from your street. There is music to midnight or 1am, but with windows closed, the music was fairly faint. Just be aware if you are light sleepers or go to bed early. Floors do creak. It's a beautiful traditional building with typical insulation. While it didn't affect us, we tried to be mindful of people staying downstairs.

True, there are some tiny ants. After a few days I was fine. Just don't leave your mango sticky rice out too long. Ask me how I know. I could do without the tiny ants but I understand it's a tropical country. This would not deter me from returning.

Cool house with a clean room, cool balcony, nice and hot shower, and friendly service—all in a great location in Old Cit

The house itself was nice and clean in a great location. They layout of the room was good and very clean. The balcony was cool with very nice sliding doors that felt new and/or high quality. The shower was always nice and hot with good pressure. The bed was comfortable as well with clean sheets. They had a cool little community kitchen stocked with items. The person who checked us in (seems like owner I guess) was very friendly and welcoming from start to finish.

Great location and house, but more like a AirBNB

The Eigth Ratvithi house is in a perfect location for exploring Chang Mai. Everything is within walking distance. The house itself is a reconstructed original Thai house, and has pictures of the renovation inside. We had a room with a little garden attached which was really nice.

The house felt a bit like a AirBNB. The breakfast included was the most limited one we had so far, ij which you had to cook your own eggs. Besides that there was 1 jam option, 1 sort of bread and some yogurt. The rooms on the first floor still have the original wooden floor, which can be quite loud for the rooms below.

The best place in Chiang Mai!!!!!!!! For sure!!!!!!!!

It is difficult to say anything about "The Eight Ratvithi House". It is simply the best place in Chiang Mai! And I mean that seriously. The rooms and the whole hotel (with only 7 rooms) super clean and beautiful, the location in the old town perfect, Nen the owner a miracle. She helps wherever she can. She makes your Chiang Mai stay a perfect experience. Thank you Nen, for a wonderful time in Chiang Mai. I will surely come back to your beautiful hotel!

위치깡패고 딱 7개의 방만 운영되어 매우 조용하게 지낼 수 있습니다. 조식은 셀프로 먹을 수 있도록 준비되어있어서 좋습니다. 숙소 깨끗하고 냄새안나고 좋아요 가격대비 훌륭해요! 태국 북부지방의 전통가옥인 란나스타일을 체험해보고 싶다면 추천합니다

숙소주인분이 잘 안계셔서 호텔이라기 보다는 에어비앤비 느낌이납니다. 란나스타일 전통가옥을 개조한 시설이다보니 2층에 묵게되면 1층 신발장에 신발을 보관하고 맨발로 올라가야합니다. 목조가옥이다보니 움직이면 삐그덕 소리가 나요

Perfect location, spacious room, owner helped us book tours and was very responsive on WhatsApp, great value for money

instant coffee for breakfast, breakfast is basic. however, the muffins are really good and next door there is an amazing coffee bar called mountain coffee that serves great coffee and opens early. The lady that works in the reception doesn’t speak English, so communication via Google translate is needed

A 7-bedroomed hotel in a quiet street in walled City. An exceptionally friendly owner who gave useful local advice. Self service breakfast was unusual but allowed contact with other residents.

Great value

I was so clean! The finishing and decoration in the room was perfect. The air conditioner was great quality and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Small and quiet garden outside. Excellent coffee you can buy there. The propriety is away from the noisy streets in an alley. Location is perfect for all the activities in and around the old city-square.

Room was a bit small for 2 people …but well adjusted
