Bex Rooms

The room was comfortable, but the location for me was out of the way. Beds we're comfortable and slept well

Slightly overpriced for location and lack of surrounding amenities

The room itself is basic, clean & functional & the compact en-suite has just enough space for one person to manoeuvrer. It was a very hot night but a fan was provided & we were able to have the window open to create a bit of a through draft. I’d certainly consider it again for my next overnighter but I would want something more for a longer stay.

The designated parking spaces are small & the area was filled with vans so it was a struggle. The accommodation comprises of 4 rooms in a unit which is tucked away in a corner, so it’s worth checking out the satellite view in advance to get your bearings. There is not a lot of space around the bed, it’s a tight space for a couple but would be fine for a single occupant. The mattress on the bed was a bit saggy with some roll together so it could do with replacing but apart from that, it was OK & acceptable. I’d certainly consider it again for my next overnighter but I would want something more for a longer stay.

Room was clean and comfortable. Sending digital code for entry worked well. Shower was excellent and there were essential toiletries provided. Was able to park right outside in designated space

Would have liked a mini fridge to enable storage of milk and chilled food seeing as no meal options on site.

Comfortable room as always

Parking atrocious despite requesting in advance a parking space. The venue has four designated parking spaces; however, when I arrived there was no spaces available. I queried this on arrival and the owner said I would be helped to find a space when I arrived - clearly my message was not read correctly - I was already there! The four spaces are shared with a car park that has "parking enforcement" in place. As there is total confusion in the car park, this leads to stress and concern. After a long drive, the last thing you want is a parking issue particularly when a space had been reserved. The room next to me had an occupant who rose at 4am, banged around, sang in the shower, and then slammed the door on their way out. I raised the matter after my stay concerning the parking and the noisy occupant - no reply from Bex Rooms. Btw, the TV in my room was still not tuned-in properly (I had raised this on my last visit), so spent 30mins waiting for the TV do run an update and then it decided to switch itself off. Decided to go out for the evening - returned to find no parking whatsoever; and another guest smoking drugs. I've left phone messages in the past when there has been issues but no reply. All I want as a guest is a hassle free parking and stay, with a TV for company. I've stayed at the Bex Rooms on several occasions this year as I am working in the area - increasingly, the parking issue has got me down. Yes the accommodation is great value and the rooms are very comfortable indeed, but sadly I won't be returning.
