We had an amazing stay at Banana Homestay! The staff were exceptional, incredibly welcoming, and created such a great atmosphere throughout the homestay. The breakfast was delicious, and the overall value for money was fantastic.
Even though Ijen was closed during our stay, we still had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed the experience. A lovely place with great people — highly recommended!

Very friendly and helpful staff willing to support all aspects of travel, delicious breakfast even outside regular hours and many options for trips or transport to local highlights. Best stay i had in Indonesia !

The best thing about the Banana homestay is Fryda and her family! They are just really lovely people. They are extremely responsive, helpful, full of information and can organise anything you need. I requested a private car to take me to the Ijen hike start point and Fryda's husband, Fryda and their son drove me up the hill. On the way they gave me lots of information about the local villages, the different products that they farm. coffee, cloves etc and what life is like for the locals.
The homestay itself is very comfortable and has lots of little humerous signs and other features that reflect the character of the owners. My room was quiet, had great air con and had a very comfortable bed plus some extra little useful things like an extension cord and plug board for my many chargers!. Last thing. The price is super low for what you get. Its super good value for money. I will definitely stay there again if I am ever back
Not much. the location is a bit far from the center so you need to walk a bit or get a grab
