Het was fijn om binnen het hek te kunnen parkeren.
Er stond een heerlijk koel drankje voor ons klaar in de koelkast, een Kir.
De kamer was comfortabel. Na een dagje in de warmte erop uit te zijn geweest, was het heerlijk om af te koelen in het mooie zwembad.
Het ontbijt was goed.
Een mooie plek om te logeren en de omgeving te kunnen bekijken.

We stayed here this August, and frankly, it did not live up to its online reputation. We booked it because it boasted a "superb" rating of 9.1 at that time on Booking.com, we found it to be quite basic, outdated and not particularly well-maintained. While it's located centrally in the Beaune region and does have a nice swimming pool, there's nothing truly "superb" about the facilities.
In terms of hospitality, the gentleman of the house was friendly and helpful. However, the lady of the house ran the place with a rather strict, almost boarding-school-like approach. She set the rules firmly and did not go out of her way to make the experience special or accommodating. Cleanliness was also lacking; we noticed dust and dirt spots in our room that had clearly not been dealt with.
Breakfast was also quite disappointing. It was minimal, to say the least—just a few pieces of bread and the need to actually request something as simple as milk for coffee. Overall, the common thread was a lack of client-friendly service. We certainly would not rate it anywhere near an 8.4, and we hope this review helps set more realistic expectations.
