What a beautiful property, it was a real pleasure to stay here, we could not recommend it highly enough. Serge and Peter were great hosts and able to give us suggestions on what to do and were to visit during our stay. Set at the edge of the river, the gardens were well looked after and many different areas to sit in. The house itself was stunning, we did not want to leave. We had breakfast in the garden each morning which consisted of fresh fruit, freshly baked bread and croissants, and various types of cooked eggs laid by the chickens in the garden. Such an idyllic setting for a restful and relaxing stay.

Stunning house and location. Garden is beautiful. Pool excellent. Breakfast lovingly prepped by Peter with free range eggs from their own chickens.
Not so much, didn’t like, as would have preferred, to be a little cooler. No air con in bedroom gave one fan a lot of work. I understand having fridge and coffee facilities downstairs only to keep rooms clean but access to ice of some sort would have been a bonus

Serge and Peter were incredible hosts. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The lodge we stayed in was perfect too. You really don't want for anything here! Special mention, too, to the breakfasts which are sublime. We also really enjoyed meeting George, Edgar, Leon and the chickens. Domaine des Monges is a veritable paradise.
If we had to be super picky it would be simply that it would be nice to have ample supplies in the lodge for the duration of our stay. We found ourselves running low (or out) of toilet paper, dish soap and hand soap. Of course, we could have asked for more anytime, but to have it to hand from the beginning would save everyone time! Really tiny nitpick that didn't detract from the experience at all.
