A room in a house. Our stay was short, mostly a place to sleep was all.

Difficult to find. We ended up getting close, and having to call them. They were kind enough to have staff come and get us and we followed them in. Ended up we were only minutes away. But due to a military base close by, google maps would not locate.

Comfortable and centric

Very comfortable space, the hosts are kind, helpful and nice, the place is well located, everything you might need is within walking distance and the house is beautiful.

Exceptional

We were just there for a quick overnight stop between buses and wish we'd stayed longer. We met the friendliest people during out short stay in Guatemala City, who went above and beyond to help us - Including Hugo, our host.

Triple check the address!! I would recommend using the link on booking.com (find directions). Because we initially got a taxi to the complete wrong address and then found out it was actually over the other side of town. It is quite far away from the main centre and the bus terminals. But in a safe and friendly neighbourhood.

It was a pleasure to stay at Hospedaje La Arboleda. I had the smaller room which was behind the house. The setting felt like been in a cottage in the forest. Mr Hugo has as beautiful garden and the place is situated away from the street. You barely hear the cars, it's also full of birds singing, it's quiet. When my drive cancelled at the last minute, Hugo drove me at my location at 5am. There are very accommodating and kind.

Very good

The hosts were very nice and prepared us dinner when we arrived from the airport even though it was pretty late. The bed was comfy, good hot water in the showers, and there is a small desk to work is you need. There is a section of shops, convenience stores, farmacies a few minutes walk from the property. Note: the property is inside a gated community (La Arboleda). If arriving by taxi or Uber, it's best to call the host to ask for directions to the place.

It's more like an Airbnb, and the room is in a family home. It felt a bit like we were staying in the the room of someone who still lived there so that felt a little strange like we were invading their privacy (the walls were decorated with notes and letters to someone). It's a bit of a distance to Zona 1 (historical center) and you have to take either a taxi or two buses to get downtown.

Beautiful place

I loved the owners Hugo and his wife. they are amazing very welcoming and they cook really good just great service they made me and my girlfriend feel that we were like family. And the house is very beautiful the backyard is really nice. The bed and pillows were so confortable
