Comfortable, clean, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast. Lovely swimming pool.

No restaurant. Long uncomfortable walk to pool. Mosquitoes around the pool.

Stunning setting and beautifully decorated and appointed hotel. Staff are super efficient and everything geared to a positive customer experience.

The property has a beautiful garden and pool - that is the nicest thing. The breakfast is also very nice - they bring it to you in a tray in the garden. My room was unfortunately just above the street so a bit noisy until late evening and quite basic for the price. However, clean and comfortable.

when this was Villa Sangiovese we stayed several times over many years. we celebrated key birthdays with friends flying out to join us as the hotel was so good. it has a fantastic location - on one side looking out over valleys for miles, and on the other, looking into the centre of the village. it is located on one side of the village square, and sometimes the market descends outside the front door. On this occasion, the rejuvenated wine tasting festival took place outside the front door! the hotel itself is cool, both aesthetically and physically with some lovely public rooms and easy access to the outside terraces, from which the views are stunning. there is a swimming pool on the small side but located in such a way you can stand and stare at the scenery whilst contemplating how lucky you are to being there.

Since Uldericho and the late Anne-Marie retired back to Switzerland the hotel has changed hands and is now part of the assets of the largest local vineyard. It has turned into a B and B with very few hotel facilities being offered. a (male) receptionist looked at my wife (aged over 70) struggling to take a heavy case upstairs and continued to talk to his friend on his mobile. He could and should have helped. the receptionist staff promised to help set up a drinks party but, in the end, had to be reminded and cajoled. It is a different place now, and we won't be returning.
