About this house rental
Enjoy our beautiful two bedroom, two bath home located in a safe ex-pat enclave called the Loreto Bay Villages, which still feels like a secret resort. No crowds or high rises, Loreto Bay is like you picture Mexico should be - next to the glistening Sea of Cortez, where you can enjoy sunrise kayaking or paddle boarding in view of the beautiful Sierra de la Giganta Mountains. Fly into the Loreto International Airport, which is five miles from our villa. We are also a 5 - 10 minute walk to the azure blue Sea of Cortez. Or if you prefer, just walk out the front door, for an early morning swim at our pool literally a stone's throw, next door to our home, or hop on our bike and swim at the lap pool, a 5 minute bike ride away. Then, stop at El Corazon for a fresh smoothie or breakfast or early lunch. A gourmet grocery store is right across the street with delicious steaks, fresh seafood and vegetables, and if you walk one minute up from the grocery, you'll have the best massage of your life from Sharon! Downtown is a 15 minute car ride away where you can enjoy the authentic Mexican town of Loreto with many restaurants.

We enjoyed an absolutely beautiful holiday in Loreto. The property was simply lovely, and excellent equipped. It offers a feel in line with couleur locale, a true Mexican vibe, and with its thick walls, all airco equipped rooms, and three levels of outside patios... Simply perfect. Loreto itself, the region, is fabulous. Free of mass tourism. Lonely beaches, hikes in solitude... Perfect. Obviously if you prefer to be around more people, the town and region offers many restaurants and smaller outings. Warmly recommended. We give it a solid 10.

This home is lovely and has all that we needed for our 7-day stay. Highly recommended. The birds sing to you all day, the landscaping is gorgeous, and the beds were comfy, and there were lots of outdoor seating options.I only mention a couple of things in case they are deal breakers for some folks.1- the homes in this development are very close together, and the pool is right next door so the afternoon quiet time was often interrupted by children yelling at the pool or people talking loudly. If you like to nap, bring earplugs. Still, it was overall extremely tranquil.2 - would be great if there were comfortable seating on the patios for reading (chaise-type) lounge chairs or an outdoor couch as many neighbors have. It just wasn't comfy to read outside without bringing cushions outside and crafting a foot rest with another chair.3) we are admitted food snobs, but we had only two good meals in the neighborhood and in town. Perhaps we went to the wrong spots. The most expensive restaurant which was a few steps away (Gastroteca Azul) was not worth the money. Pasta inedible. We highly recommend the Poke House for poke bowls (incredibly fresh and delicious) and Maya Restaurant, both of which were truly authentic Mexican restaurants. Get the sea bass made by Maya herself!4) We'd recommend the owners put potable water in each bathroom for toothbrushing. Thank you to Barbara and Dennis for going above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay!

Everything was excellent and even better. The house is lovely and so well equipped. Having bicycles is great here. The property manager, Carlos, replied quickly to any queries we had. We would definitely recommend this house in Loreto Bay.
