This hotel is THE place to stay in Pieterburen - it is at the start of the Pieterpad, right where the wadlopen starts and at the main square where they also own a restaurant, cafe and souvenir shop / reception. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a bit outdated and definitely expensive for what you get. Our room was very warm and the window could not really open and even though there was a fan, that was not really helping. The room is very basic and could use an upgrade. Furthermore, the hotel has been hacked - I received several WhatsApps with my booking details asking me to confirm my booking / click a link that did not come from the hotel. Luckily I checked with them before I did anything and flagged the issue, but not sure if it has been addressed yet. They just told me they were following up with their IT provider, but it's quite worrying to be honest.

We cycled the Pieterfietspad (South to North) and it was very welcome to end our trip in a place that had spa facilities! :-)
The room was a good size and had a coffee machine and bath.

Breakfast was freshly made, pastry was always warm and there was also fresh vegetables and fruits.
The room is basic but had all that you need for a short stay and the personnel was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is exactly the same and a little limited every day - if you would like to stay for more days, prepare for the same selection every day of your stay. As a vegetarian, I ended up eating a two slices of bread with cheese, vegetables and cooked egg every day. Not bad, but I would have preferred a little more variety (especially on our third breakfast).
The cleaning service did not really clean our room - after two nights we asked for a clean in the room while we were out and aside from changing our towels, taking out trash and making up half of the bed properly, not much has happened. We were travelling with a dog and paid 15€ per night for him and wanted to get the floor vacuum cleaned to make staying there for two more nights a little better. The floor was still full of his hair when we got back and it made us a little upset.
