We have stayed in Le Grand Bornand many times over the years, always in a motorhome or caravan. However this time we took our sports car. Little did we know but upon arrival GBo was having a week long children's festival. Nothing against that but we should have been pre warned. The town was packed full. It was very noisy up to 10.30pmevery day and there was nowhere to park. We managed to park in one of the five private hotel parking spaces a short walk away, and there our car stayed for the week. If we used it we would loose the space. Glad to get away in the end. We had just one day of normal holiday.
Senior staff appeared surly and disinterested.

Our second visit to La Croix-Saint-Maurice.
Cute rooms with stunning views of Le Grand Bornand from our pretty flowered balcony. A great location, shops, restaurants, beautiful walks and chair lifts on your doorstep. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Evening meals were great too. There was a brassiere with a relaxed atmosphere where you could order pizza, burgers and salads and a more formal setting within the hotel too, all priced reasonably too.
Nothing at all, it was perfect.
