Mintrops Land Hotel Burgaltendorf

Family friendly; we did not feel uncomfortable at any point. The swimming pool area was super. The outdoor space to let off steam for the kids was a huge plus. The hotel styling is very 90s/early 2000s which has its own charm. The staff were genuinely delightful. Excellent restaurant with local produce and proper German portions (read big-adequate). Major cities all within 30-45 mins was a plus too.

The beds, in particular the mattresses were either too hard or too soft. They need replacing; soon. Otherwise this would have been a perfect stay. I would still recommend the hotel especially to families in any case. We will return I’m sure.

The outdoor area with the animals and the playground was wonderful in addition was the kids indoor area very good and well maintained. Breakfast was great with local products and a bonus they provided kids cutlery. It’s a perfect escape for families and kids have a lot to discover. We will return for sure.

Communication for the restaurant reservation didn’t go well. In my opinion is 25 EUR for a baby cot for a night too much.

The hotel is in a quiet green location. Has a green garden with restaurant. Staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean and quiet.

We stayed there now the 3rd time. And we always loved the breakfast. Since breakfast is offered till 11am we came quite late. But the quality and quantity was quite bad. The stumbled egg was dry and brown ( probably is was heated too long) the friendly staff offered to make me a fresh one. That was super nice. But the overall quality of the products was better the last years.

The indoor swimming pool was nice and almost always empry. The room was a nice size and comfortable beds. Everything is very clean. The staff is very nice in general but one night there was a lady at the reception that was very unpleasant, when i asked if we could leave the room a bit later in check-out she answered very cynical ‘yes, but we will change you 10 euros per each hour…’ not a very nice answer, i guess there are better ways to say that it was not possible.

The price they charge for breakfast if you pay in the hotel - euro 22,50 - way too expensive; no options for eating just a small snack - just dinner a la carr, we wanted to have just a some snack with some drinks and it was not possible; the wifi in our room was very very bad - i was thinking that if i was traveling for work that would have been a disaster; also the light in the room - i cannot sleep with light and in the morning i woke up extremely early (around 5:00h) for 2 days because of that.
