The property has real character, a small restaurant, a bar out and in-doors and a small inn (5 rooms). A mix of old and new - stone walls, interesting old window and door fixtures but a modern bathroom. Somewhat like a visit to the Prancing Pony from the Lord of the Rings, except more comfortable. It was exciting to learn that Professor Tolkien had stayed here!
Given that the Bell Inn is predominantly a bar, there is some noise outside the rooms in the courtyard, but it did not last much past 9 pm when we were there, so not really a problem for us.

All the staff were lovely. Breakfast was fantastic and the room was clean and nicely decorated. The courtyard bar was nice and fortunately not noisy late at night.
The room was an odd shape so felt smaller than it really was. It was downstairs, so a bit of noise from upstairs guests. Very dim lighting.

We stayed here at the beginning of our hiking tour and ended our tour here as well. We absolutely love this place. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was EXCEEDINGLY nice.

Breakfast was good. Room was cozy and bed comfy
Didn't realise there was no pub food in evening. Only option was pizza. Not much to offer in area other than The Spice Room which was lovely.
Not sure who even owns the place!
