It was an overnight stay for us. The hotel is in a fairly quiet location. There is a main road but you dont hear to much traffic. The river wear is just 200 yards away, with walking & cycling routes. Also near the northern spire bridge. If you like history there is the SS cretehawser which is a sunken world war 1 tug boat to see in the wear. There is a shopping centre close to the hotel. Staff were very good & helpful. Good carpark. We didn't have breakfast.

Plenty of reasonably priced parking. Ground floor rooms were easy to access and the staff went over and above especially Patrice (despite it being her last day) and Lyndsey. The blonde lady doing breakfast on reception on the bank holiday Monday (31st Aug) was exceptional too but we never got her name. The breakfast sausage and bacon was really nice quality and tasty and the open plan food area was a really nice touch.

Room 12’s sink didn’t drain as the plug got stuck which was a bit inconvenient when cleaning teeth etc but everything else was great. Bed very comfortable
