Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port/Cheshire Oaks by IHG

Very nice

Without the scaffolding, it would generally have a lovely view. Staff very friendly and professional. Good location for Cheshire Oaks (approx 7 min drive). Lovely that it had a Starbucks onsite too. Beds comfy and although not new, room had everything we needed.

Parking was limited directly on site with the hotel but extra parking not too far. Had paid for a two x double bed room but unfortunately ended up in an interconnecting room with a very loud family which wasn’t ideal considering it was one of the more expensive rooms. There was a locked door between the rooms but this made it paper thin - could hear almost every word of a conversation even when they weren’t being loud. Think an interconnecting room should need to be notified and approved beforehand.

Food and customer service

Room was showing its age

Staff were great sent someone to the room as soon as we asked for some help putting the heating on

The bed was never a king size I asked about another room but staff said they were full and couldn’t move us which was a lie,I went onto website and there were rooms available . My husband says we won’t be back at this hotel.
