The location was very convenient and the room was a good size for Shanghai. It was comfortable, had a window, and the bathroom was also clean and spacious enough.
We were a little surprised that the staff spoke very little English. Of course, we understand that we were in China and do not expect everyone to speak English, but for a hotel in such an international city as Shanghai, we expected at least a basic level of English at reception.

A bit dated, old carpets
English was a bit difficult with translations. Swimming pool spa gym is not run by the hotel. It is used by the schools and locals

location was incredible and facilities were good. the gym was expansive. The area surrounding the hotel had a number of bars and restaurants. The location was the main strength of this hotel.
the pool was misleading in the photos and had swimming lessons running when we were trying to use it.

unique good thing was the AC working good. Even that we would not repeat if would be the case.
We would chose another hotel in Shangai before this one...
Unique hotel in all China we had to pay for water. Everywhere we got it for free unless here.
Some humidity on full bathroom, we had the feeling of lack of cleanness + old facilities.
Pool ==> when you have to pay like 10USD almost for 1 pool bonnet, it's not mentioned.
