Super friendly staff, exceptionally clean, relaxing atmosphere. Monica night receptionist was a delight to interact with. The location in dead centre to all the important activities. Love the restaurant and the food was amazing. Met the owner Ursula, she was a delight. Only Hotel in my whole stay in Germany where I did not have to pay extra for parking 🎉🎊
For Tiergarten, we don’t need this section…. They is NOTHING to fault in this property

The location -- we woke up to the sound of cars racing around the Norschleife, which is thrilling (for some!).
Lots of parking and a restaurant of repute within the hotel.
Breakfast is absoutely superb.
For couples... room advertised as a LARGE DOUBLE and TWO SINGLES. We were given four singles and they tried to convince me that in Germany, a large double is actually two singles pushed together! However... there are separate bedsheets and quilts, so clearly they were just defending themselves and refused any goodwill gesture or acknowledgment of my greivance.
The disappointment for me is that when I raised this issue, it was presented as MY problem, rather than acknowledging how the room as advertised and paid for in full, was incorrect and therefore, it was reasonable and understable that I would be aggreived by this. Shaming the customer for raising a problem is not a suitable manner in which to recognised areas of improvement. This was from the owner, who was very curt in her manner and ended the conversation, which became adversarial, muttering at me in German -- which was frankly, insuling.
For parents... the mezzanine walls and ceilings are painted white and the lights 'downstairs' are too bright, so it is almost impossible to read or remain active without keeping the children up. I would paint the walls/ceilings upstairs a darker colour to absorb the light and offer dimmers or less bright lights downstairs.
Wifi in our room on the end of the building was almost non-existent, however 4G reception wasn't too bad if you have this option available to you via your mobile contract.
The plughole in the sink was broken (but I fixed it, thanks to rudimentary plumbing knowledge) -- however, this raised questions about the cleaning/room inspection protocol.
There seems to be a ladybird infestation in the rooms at this time of year. They're harmless enough but a little distracting when falling asleep.
