The room was very elegant, comfortable and cosy. Accousticaly it was so well treated that I couldn't hear any noise coming from other guests or the street. The breakfast was a joy to wake up to with an exciting variety of food. Finally having a restaurant and bar was a bonus for special celebrations.

Very easy to access. Safe storage for bicycles, secure car parking . Lovely room overlooking the garden , away from street noise .
Lifts are very slow and sometimes don't move at all .

Excellent breakfast selection.
Lovely decor in restaurant and rooms. Thought staff were lovely: very friendly and welcoming.
The hot dishes at breakfast (eg scrambled egg) whilst nice could have been a little warmer.
Bed was a little hard but helped by the cushions present.
Otherwise hard to fault anything.

The breakfast was great.
We had a lovely room with a small balcony and chairs. Everywhere was clean and well equipped.
The reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful indeed.
The breakfast was fab apart from the coffee that was really dire.
It was a long walk (30 mims) down to the centre and we are walkers!! Coming back up would be pretty hard if you aren't fit. It was a steep trek.
We had a lovely room with a small balcony and chairs. There was no mirror at the dressing table/ desk.
Two of the other couples in our group paid the same amount as us but had a much bigger room with a sofa, and an outside garden area with chairs and sun loungers. Hardly reasonable for the same price.
The flush on our toilet did not work. We reported it to the reception first thing in the morning and they said it would be repaired after 9am. We had to use the public loo in the reception area in the meantime.
We asked at reception about having a table for 8 people for dinner. Whilst they do not take reservations, they suggested letting the restaurant know of our requirements. I spoke to the restaurant staff who said they would see if they could arrange it. We sat in the reception lounge for a drink, in sight of the restaurant door and made our way down after half an hour. On arrival the restaurant was quiet but the person we spoke to previously would not make eye contact or welcome us. Another one of the staff told us they could not seat 8, but we could have 2 tables for 4, next to each other but they could not be put together. There was a round table for 6 that could have 2 more places set but our request was refused. I asked why no one had come out to say that they could not accommodate us. We were sat immediately in their line of sight and they knew we were sat waiting. After a difficult conversation I spoke to a reception person who was well aware that I had asked the restaurant for a table for 8. They kindly rang the restaurant and requested that a table be made for us all. This was done immediately. The awkward atmosphere spoilt the otherwise good meal that was not cheap!
