The Chateau Beach Resort has a great location, with an amazing private beach. There are many indoor and outdoor activities included, e.g. archery and table tennis.
The description of their in-house restaurants is wrong. They had one restaurant open for our entire stay, and the buffet was mediocre at best. Breakfast included reheated leftovers from the dinner service the night before, which was maybe not so noticeable with the braised pork, but horrifying when it came to the french fries and the vegetables that were stale, soggy and soaked in oil at that point. We got dinner there on our first day, where the seafood was also extremely old apparently, making it taste like nothing and leak liquid everywhere. We were also sat in front of a live performer, who was clearly struggling with his performance, but nonetheless turned the volume up to a degree that made any communication impossible. This unique experience cost us more than 1000 TWD per person, a price that is also not noted or communicated anywhere.
I recommend arriving very early for the breakfast service, (since the restocking of food also takes ages) and only getting food that is clearly made on the spot (fried eggs and pancakes). For lunch and dinner one should definitely go to Kenting.

Great location, helpful and friendly staff, we liked the pool area, and beach activities, breakfast was pretty good too.
Very small rooms, we didn’t even have a balcony - I would recommend checking your booking as some rooms have balconies and some do not.

Beautiful ocean views, I highly recommend staying in an ocean-view room. Good breakfast options, and the two cafés are very convenient; however, not all of the restaurants/cafes were open at the time. I loved the hammocks and seating areas throughout the property, which is very spacious.
The requirement to wear swimming caps was inconvenient (even though you can borrow them), and the hotel layout is quite confusing as well, with very few signs, especially for finding the breakfast area. The beach can also get very windy, and the ocean is quite deep.

Beautiful surroundings, great warm pools. Breakfast is OK.
Some of the staff members were quite rude.
