Ich hatte ein ruhiges großes Altbau-Zimmer. Hat mich sehr gewundert, da berlincity doch als Jugendhotel firmiert. War sehr froh darüber.
Das Bett war sehr bequem. S-Bahn und U-Bahn waren fussläufig erreichbar.
Die Dusche war nicht höhenverstellbar.

Honestly, this hotel absolutely beat my expectations, considering the price. I was really nervous about the booking because I had to do it in a hurry, with very little guidance. I was coming for a funeral that was being held at the Alter St. Matthäus Kirche. That was the actual reason for picking the hotel based on a family member's blind Google Maps recommendation. First, the facilities were not only more than adequate; everything was in pristine, well-maintained condition. There were no awkward smells, as is common in many low-budget hotels. Then the proximity to both the S- and U-Bahn Stations is another plus, as it was easy to get to the hotel from the airport, even though it was my first time flying into Berlin from overseas. I liked the lighting of the room, the blinds, the accessories that were provided (including a blow dryer), and I loved the commune-like ambience. I am not a TV person, so I didn't mind the fact that there was none in the room. The hustle and bustle of the area, with outdoor dining, kiosks, markets, and lots of beautiful people milling around, made this location very interesting. Check-in and check-out are a breeze and very nifty. If I have to stay in this vicinity during my next visit to Berlin, I will definitely stay here.
The management should communicate the cleaning schedule to guests. I stayed for 5 nights, and my room wasn't cleaned once. I kept things tidy, so I wasn't in a lot of discomfort because of this. Because of the zero-contact check-in procedures, I didn't know who to even talk to about this.

die Betten sind unschlagbar bequem, die Räume großzügig, die hohen Decken
