Lovely location and hotel building and restaurant
We had hoped for more areas to walk. Instead had to settle for a drink overlooking the pond

The breakfast was great, the salmon delicious. Rooms were clean and quiet. Food in the restaurant is very good too eventhough I would have preferred a few more non-fish options. Staff was friendly and helpful, also when we had to postpone our restaurant reservation while the restaurant was pretty full. We used this hotel on the way to a different destination.
The pictures still show a children's playground with a slide, but when we arrived that wasn't there anymore. There is a great playground on a 5 minute car's drive though.

This hotel has a quiet location with lovely grounds & a fish restaurant. This is the second time we have stayed to break up a long drive south. Great breakfast, the restaurant serves good food in an evening too, but best to book as it is popular. There’s a train line behind the hotel but trains are not frequent & we did not hear any through the night. Rooms are well appointed & ours had movement sensors which switched on a light under the bed so you didn’t trip up in the night.
