Clean and spacious room, separated toilet/shower/sink, charming decorations and many informational pamphlets in the room and common areas, delicious homemade breakfast, convenient location to Kyoto Station, and the kindest owners/staff who went above and beyond to make this an exceptional experience. Appreciated the private tattoo-friendly bath, the opportunity to try calligraphy, and the clear expectations/communication at the ryokan. The curfew and quiet hour rules might not align with everyone's travel style, but it made for a very peaceful and quiet stay for us.

The whole experience was definitely worth it! Staying in a traditional ryokan, having a warm bath in an onsen then waking up with a traditional breakfast. And the bonus part is a quick calligraphy session and a kawaii photo shoot before checkout. And the best I guess would be the staff/owners' hospitality and warmth! I loved it there!!!

I loved staying at this ryokan. It is a short walk through the neighborhood from Kyoto Station. Comfortable and cozy. The traditional breakfast is amazing, I wish I could eat it everyday. The owners are so kind and welcoming. The calligraphy lesson at the end was fun and a lovely way to wrap up my stay. I would like to stay here again! <3
