Good Location

Probably the most comprehensively provided for accommodation my wife and I have stayed in for many years - and we travel a lot! The owner has anticipated just about any need a guest may wish to have. Ease of access, Friendly staff, clean and beautiful shower with strong hot water, Lifesize mirror, Lovely balcony overlooking the lagoon and unobstructed view of the Knysna Heads, Close to access roads leading to supermarket & liquor store, but sufficiently distanced so that traffic isn't a bother, lovely pool with loungers, small kitchen but so well planned (with fridge to hold 2 bottles of wine, 2l Coke, 1,5l Sparkling water, 2l fruit juice and groceries - 2plate gas stove, microwave, cutlery & crockery in good nick, grounds are kept up. We went back for my birthday weekend, after a stay in Feb. Glad to say the experience was even better. Gem of a place and kudos for the design of the units on the property. Hope it continuous for many years!

We had a nice stay at Abalone Lodges. The place was clean, spacious, and with comfortable beds. The view over the lagoon was a bonus, and the location was convenient for exploring the area. A relaxing and pleasant stay overall.

Could use better heating in the rooms.

The view from the bedroom and living room is beautiful. Because of the log cabin, the view and the spa bath the unit has a honeymoon feel to it. The unit is equipped fairly well, although I would get a better grater and leave a sponge in the unit to clean dishes more effectively. Key collection and handover was easy. The logde is close to everything. There is a pub just down the road and the closest Spar is a 3min drive. The small terrace is fabulous for having wine outside with a view. All in all an excellent value for money option.

For us it was fine, but parents need to keep their kids' age in mind when booking because of the steps inside the unit. The unit is also not very soundproof - another factor for parents to consider.
