Located in Lake Placid, this attractive house for $175 per night is a great choice for your next break. This apartment (attached to the main house) offers a peaceful stay within walking distance to historic downtown Lake Placid NY and the local Jackrabbit trail. Also, private driveway (fits 2 vehicles bumper to bumper) and secure mud room for additional storage. Dogs accepted but must be kept on a leash in the yard. There is one queen bed in the bedroom with an attached full master bathroom, and a queen futon in the main room. (There are stairs required for moving from the bedroom/bathroom to the main level.) This was a wonderful place to stay in Lake Placid. It was perfect for my partner, our two dogs, and I. It’s a great location and very easy to get to. The owner had signs posted all around that made everything super easy for us and it was plenty of space. It was very conveniently located a few minutes away from Downtown Lake Placid too. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Stay was great once we finally got in. VRBO never gave an address or access code then compounded matters by telling me to get a hotel.
Long story short, finally spoke with the property owner who was fantastic. Great comfortable home, good location and she had an adorable dog. Would happily stay there again.

We decided last minute to cheer on some friends competing in the Iron Man. The owners of this apartment were very quick to confirm the rental, which was appreciated. While the apartment is connected to the main house, it was very quiet and private, and walkable distance to town (we didn’t drive once we arrived until we left three days later). On the rustic side, very clean and user friendly. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Very responsive host, answered all of our questions super fast. The location was perfect.. close enough to anything you might need or want to do. But away from the busy town area. Our son played with the CanAm hockey camp, and it was about 3 minutes drive to the 1980 rink on back roads so there was no messing with the main road traffic. It couldn't have been better. Being away from town it was super quiet and peaceful. The apartment was a great size and VERY clean. We loved having the bbq to make steaks and burgers. Pretty much everything for making meals that you'd need was there. (Side note: go grocery shopping!! eating at the restaurants was insanely $$$$ pricey) And we were able to bring our dog along on our family trip as well. We would absolutely stay again!!

This apartment was a great find for visiting Lake Placid. The location was convenient for going into town and surrounding areas. The kitchen was well equipped and the furnishings throughout were very comfortable. We appreciate the hosts allowing us a later check out to enjoy our stay without having to rush. Thanks!

Great place to stay! Short walk to the shopping strip. Easy access, had everything we needed for the weekend. We were in town for Worlds Synchronized skating competition. It’s was so nice not to have to worry about parking all weekend.

We were very pleased with this property, this was my first time staying at a VRBO and this property did meet our expectations. Our host was very responsive to a few questions I had even though those details were listed on the posting. We would recommend this property and would saty again.

Property had everything you needed for a short or extended stay. It was clean, pet friendly, close to town (0.8 mile) and within 200 yards of the Jack Rabbit Trail. Great place for two or three people and would definitely come back if in the area again and would also recommend to a friend.

We had the most amazing weekend getaway at this super cute and cozy property. For starters, the host provides very in-depth details for the check-in process to make it as smooth as possible and is extremely responsive. We arrived later in the evening and the host had outdoor lights on and had the driveway cleared, even during a snow storm to ensure we felt comfortable/safe upon arrival. The inside of the property is the most coziest and Lake Placid themed I’ve ever stayed at in this area. From the unique Olympic memorabilia decor to soft fleece winter sheets this host really knows how to do things and out did themselves. There are clear instructions for everything that is included in the apartment along with emergency contacts. I’m a clean freak and there was not one speck of dust. The host are animal lovers and even have pet supplies in the apartment just incase you forget to bring something. The location is excellent being close enough to Main Street that you could walk, however tucked away in a residential area away from the standard tourist chaos to give that super homey vibe. It ultimately was a fantastic experience and we will be booking this property moving forward anytime we are in the area. If this spot is available book it because you will not be disappointed!

We were fortunate to find this property to stay for 3 wonderful nights. The weather was perfect, the apartment was cozy, well-furnished, and just right for the three of us. We were close to town, but far away enough to enjoy peaceful days and nights. Our host was very nice and couldn’t have done anything more . Loved it here!

My wife and I were in town for a wedding and needed a place to crash and wanted access to a kitchen for breakfasts, snacks, coffee, etc. This place worked out well. We squeezed in a short hike between wedding weekend events and found this place to be well equipped and clean. Coffee grinder? Check. Cooking essentials? Check. These and other thoughtful touches made it much better for us than a hotel. The mattress was OK; both of us would have preferred firmer.

I really liked the place it was a nice little getaway for us and the dogs. All of the towels and linens, toilet paper and paper towels were provided which was nice along with the kitchen stocked and we were able to make full use of it. I thought the No ac would be an issue but with the windows open and a fan it was actually comfortable especially since the weather in lake placid isn’t too hot. Overall, it was a good place we had a great time and would definitely go again

Everything went smoothly. This was a great spot right between the few box store and the cute little down town area so we were convenient to everything. The space was clean and welcoming, and honestly more “modern” than I expected from the pictures. The shower was hot and good flow. Lots of thermostats to adjust each area as needed. I did whack my shoulder on the crazy corner on the stairs, but I’m a klutz so I blame myself for that. We would definitely stay here again.

There are many nice things about this rental. The apartment is well furnished, and the location is good provided that you are up for a 4 block steep up and down climb to reach Main St. There were many thoughtful touches such as a full complement of toiletries and necessities in the bathroom, and a fairly well-furnished kitchen. It is private and quiet. The decor is actually a bit nicer than the photos suggest, and the walls are full of autographed Winter Olympic team posters. The mudroom at the entrance is convenient when transitioning from ski or hiking gear, and there is plenty of room for storage.
While most of the apartment was clean, the inside of the refrigerator, the stove top, the hood and the toaster oven did not seem to have been cleaned in quite some time (and we are not clean freaks). The kitchen table is tiny and barely sufficed for two at meals, and would not work for 4. There were a few other items needing attention, such as two lightbulbs out in ceiling fixtures in the main room and a wooden chair whose arms were coming off and required reglueing, and the oven door would not close fully.
While we received an advance welcome email from the host, there was no communication on arrival or any other communication during our stay, although she responded promptly when we sent a message at departure listing things that needed fixing.
We'd stay again in future, but a little more attention to upkeep would make this a 5-star instead of a 4-star rental.

The unit is connected to the owners home but is very private with its own entrance and parking. Very quiet, even for our overly reactive dog. Just have to watch your head, especially if you are tall, when going down to the kitchen / living area.

It is clear that the owners took a lot of care to make sure our stay was pleasant.

Great location
This was a perfect place for our family. We have two teenagers that love snowboarding. Whiteface was only a 20 minute ride. We dropped them off for the day, we went shopping and a few hikes. The place was perfect for us. It was nice and clean with everything we needed. I forgot our shampoo and they had some there thank goodness! We will stay here again whenever we go back to Lake Placid.

Loved this cozy place. It was clean, warm and cozy as we enjoyed first snowfall of the year. Great location to enjoy hiking (even in the rain) and sleep warm and dry!
