About this house rental

Situated in Bawley Point, this lovely house for $140 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. The house is a perfect getaway for couples or families and because it's our second home, we continually make improvements to make sure it has all the home comforts necessary to provide the perfect holiday experience. It boasts a fantastic front deck where you can sit for hours mesmerised by the swaying gum trees, watching the birds, and taking time out to reconnect or reflect. Together with the private back deck, there's plenty of comfortable seating options to follow the sun, or shade, and for everyone to find a quiet space. In the main living area, we have two new handcrafted 3-seater lounges from Bali, two newly reupholstered armchairs and a 48" smart TV with free Netflix. As we love to cook, the kitchen is very well equipped and includes an oven with an air fryer facility and a newly installed dish drawer dishwasher to cut down on those cooking chores! For your family meals, we have a dining table inside and an outdoor setting on the front deck, both seating up to 8 people. Downstairs we have a separate TV area for the kids, so you can keep upstairs quiet and calm for the grown-ups! This is right next to the bunk room and a laundry shower room, and also houses a 1.6m high glass-fronted drinks fridge, so you'll always have enough fridge space for your holiday! We also have a desk area downstairs in case you want to extend your holiday and work remotely. We have the maximum NBN Internet plan we can get for this area, with approximate speeds of 50 mbps download, 17 mbps upload. We welcome up to two medium-sized, well-behaved dogs per booking and as our garden (like most gardens in Bawley) is unfenced, we find that guests prefer to leave their dogs on the front deck - with ample shade - if they 'have' to go out. As the house is in a cul-de-sac, there is hardly any traffic and our visitors' kids often hang out on their bikes or kick a footie on the road or in the nature reserve opposite. On the subject of nature, we've seen dolphins, penguins and stingrays in the waters at Bawley; and had kangaroos quietly eating grass in front of the house - disturbed only by the kookaburras laughing at them! To sum up, we all sleep better at Bawley and each time we go it is harder and harder to leave. We call it the 'Bawley Valium' that hits you soon after you arrive... TOP TIP: Sleep with the blinds open in the king and queen bedrooms so you wake up to the awesome views! Check-in is as of 4pm and check-out is strictly 10am. Unfortunately we can no longer accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs, as the property is becoming increasingly popular with back-to back bookings! PS - Please no cats, afraid one of us is allergic. ENQUIRIES Owners Vicki and Kevin are currently living in the UK, so there may be a slight time delay in their reply. Great location. Overall an excellent set up in the house. The downstairs area was a bit smelly (unused, mouldy?). Clean with everything we needed. Beach would be great in better weather.

A great place to stay with the whole family, especially if travelling with pets. Terrific location next to a beautiful off-leash dog beach. Unfortunately we had a few issues with the water pump but Al from next door was extremely helpful and assured us that a replacement was on the way.

The Good Life - certainly is just that! Our stay coincided with NSW’s big wet - so first few days we had terrible weather- however the outlook from both front and back was so beautiful- it was easy to drag ourselves away from Netflix, and just stare out the windows at the beautiful trees and nature doing her thing. The beach is so close that when the weather cleared we and our pooch were also able to fully enjoy it. We are looking for dates to rebook and I can’t wait to be back there to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Bawley. The house had all the creature comforts we needed and just perfect for us. Thank you.

Loved the house but the dog yard way to small, the backyard should fenced. The dog friendly beach was amazing. We couldn’t fault the house, tv reception iffy. Will be back, just loved our stay. Thank you. Jenny.

The Good Life house was spacious with a relaxed atmosphere. It was comfortable and had most things one would need on a holiday. The location was excellent. Lock the house and walk through the gorgeous reserve and the beach enchanted you!

We had a very comfortable stay. Great location, just a few minutes from the beach. Property manager was very helpful. We had problems accessing the keys to the property (security key) but the property manager was very helpful and let us in. We will visit again.

We enjoyed a pleasurable relaxing 3 nights stay at this property surrounded by beautiful bushland. The house was comfortable, well appointed and clean. I was fascinated by the tasteful decor and attention to detail. The kitchen was excellently equipped. The icing on the cake was the 3-minute walk to the beach which we and the dogs made full use of twice a day. This is the fourth year we have holidayed at a vacation home and this has been our favourite. We would have given it a rating of 5 stars had the property been completely fenced off for the dogs as terriers are renowned for roaming. But this didn't stop us from having a superb time.
