The location is wonderful on one of the major canals in the old city. Everything is walking distance or reachable by tram. It was a large modern apartment which meant three of us could work and lounge about easily. It was clear it had been renovated from a centuries-old building which made it very charming.
We had to go to another address beforehand to check in and pick up the keys. The upholstery furniture of the chairs was dirty and the staircase hand rail was grubby which we had to clean ourselves before we could use it. The staircase up to the bedroom was steep but achievable with care. Be aware in hot weather that it is without airconditioning.

Basement appartment in canal side house. Located close to trams/Metro to centre of city. Comfortable bed and nicely appointed livingroom/ktchen area.
Minor issues with squeaky door and moving toilet seat fixed very quickly by the hotel.
Only downside was noise from waste pump, which activated when ever any of the appartments used water and created waste. It did appear that residents all understood and didn't use water overnight, including flushing toilets.

The location
I felt cheated because I wished an apartment with the canal view,that was the main reason why I had chosen them. But when I chose the not refundable option, they unilaterally reserved the basement flat which was a large dark studio where the sleeping area and the living area were separated by a curtain. You entered through a low French door where you had to remember to duck; in fact, I banged my head almost every day on the way in. The only real plus was that the apartment was cool- which, given the heat, was the only saving grace.In any case, the flat wasn't worth the price they charged and bore no resemblance to the photis posted on the website.
