Best place I have stayed in months. If you are visiting Bardiya, you need to stay here. Beautiful room, super comfortable bed, excellent food, and terrific hospitality. Perfect for solo travelers looking to be social

What an experience! What a luxury it was to stay here. By a huge margin, this was our best stay in Nepal. The warmth of the Nepalese people was even more pronounced here; Sarita and Basu were exceptional hosts. The food was sublime, nothing to suggest for improvement, only praise. The room was very spacious and beautiful, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed and the shower provided an abundant supply of hot water. The courtyard garden and the dining area were lovely and inviting. Upon arrival, the entire homestay felt like a breath of fresh air. And then, the safari! To begin with, Shardul was completely honest about which activities were or weren’t suitable for us, and why. At no point did we feel that money was the primary motivator. During the safari, Shardul and Shiwa worked as a perfectly synchronized team, professional and efficient. They were transparent about what was beyond their control, ensuring no false expectations were set, while clearly being fully committed to doing everything possible to help us spot the animals. A deep respect for the animals and the jungle, along with a genuine passion for wildlife, was evident in everyone we encountered. Without a doubt, this is the place we would recommend most highly after our four weeks of traveling through Nepal.

I had such a wonderful experience at this lovely homestay. Shardul, Ankita, Basu, Dev, and the entire team were incredibly welcoming and kind from the moment I arrived. Ankita prepared delicious and varied meals each day using the freshest ingredients. Shardul and Dev were fantastic safari guides. During my three-day stay, we were lucky enough to spot two tigers, a rhino, and a leopard. They worked tirelessly to help us see all the wildlife we hoped for and truly went above and beyond, even racing through the jungle on my last day to make sure I could see a rhino. The entire experience was so much fun, and you can tell the family takes great pride in creating a warm, memorable, and special stay for their guests. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Our stay at Bardia Eco-Friendly Homestay was absolutely fantastic. A 10/10 experience. The whole family is incredibly kind, warm, and attentive, and they really make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The food was delicious, with many ingredients coming fresh from their own garden, which made it extra special. The location is also perfect, very close to Bardia National Park. We joined a wildlife tour to spot tigers and were lucky enough to actually see one! I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Bardia. It’s a wonderful place with genuine hospitality.
