Twentieth Century B&B

The owners are really lovely, very friendly. The house is fantastic and the location is excellent. We drove there, there is loads of parking next to the house. We caught the bus into Margate to go to a concert, bus stop is virtually outside the house and caught the train back, 10 min walk back to the house. Our bedroom was spacious with a separate seating area and a large balcony. The bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was really good and served to us on the balcony. We'll definitely see if it's available in the future.

Loved all the attention to detail. If you're a lover of Art Deco then this is for you. Kat and Spencer were great hosts and they made our stay very enjoyable. You really felt like you were welcome. Breakfast delicious and plenty of it. Room comfy (we were in Lord Carson room) and again, the little details made all the difference. We had breakfast on our balcony which was very nice. It was only a 5 minute walk to the sea.

Beautiful 1930s house, creatively decorated and owned by a lovely couple determined to do the very best for their guests. Our room was beautifully decorated and so clean with a little balcony overlooking the pretty garden. Breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble.

The property is absolutely stunning, Art Deco throughout downstairs, so much to look at...Kat & Spencer are the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was a delight, cooked by Spencer! There are 4 themed rooms and we stayed in 'Tudor Gates' who was a playwright/scriptwriter and also a previous owner of the property. Our room was 50's themed, attention to detail is excellent. Spotlessly clean, bed was super comfy, rain shower, everything you needed. Turning right from the property is a 5 minute walk to the beachfront (Minnis Bay) where there is a small cafe (food served all day) and The Minnis Bay bar also serving food all day, both overlooking the lovely sea! On Minnis Road itself is The Bay Alehouse, which we frequented, lovely friendly locals and the cask beer was delightful, only a tiny place but the atmosphere was great (opening times 4pm-9pm). We also had a cheeseboard whilst in there which was only £5.50, very reasonable and was enough to share between 2 of us. Turning left from the property was about 10 minute walk to Station Road which his like a little High Street, quite a few shops for a tiny place, plenty of places to eat, lots of charity shops, and plenty of benches just to sit and have a 5 minute rest! There is a bus service which runs the lengh of the road, stop more or less outside property, I think was number 32 and run roughly every hour. All in all, a really lovely place to spend a day or few days, very tranquil. Will definitely stay again! Oh, and free parking which is such a bonus so close to the sea.
