The decor, the mediterranean style garden, the hot tub all set up for our stay, exceptional, loved the google nest thermostat, tho' we didn't realise what it was to begin with. A level of sophistication I can only aspire to!
There were three problems. I wasn't expecting a downstairs bathroom - I am 75, so need a night time visit and the stairs were a bit narrow. The shower over the bath in the main house is completely non-functional, the washer is jammed and the entire bath tap needs replacing I would think. However, the shower in the additonal hot-tub changing room worked brilliantly, so once we had opened up there it didn't matter. It just took us a day to work it out. It is a huge pity that the local eatery is closed and the nearest restaurant we found was the Dilwyn Arms Pontardawe. We had an enjoyable and friendly meal there.

The house it’s self is beautiful! Can sleep 5 people 3 bedrooms. Loved that we could bring the dog. The garden is so lovely too! So many seating areas. Very quiet road too. Amazing for the price however there were many down falls.
Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on furniture which was not highlighted in the information of the property. And any hairs left had to be cleaned up from the dog before checking out. There was no toilet paper in the house, kitchen roll or washing up liquid so please bring your own. I contacted the property and they said to contact the owner. The WiFi wasn’t great so the tv kept pausing. The back legs of the chair in living room were loose so couldn’t use it incase it broke. The stair gate down stairs is loose too and doesn’t work as it’s too far to slot into the lock. Needed some coasters in the living room as we were worried we would leave ring marks on the side table. We tried to get into hot tub however it was freezing sadly! If we had know we would have turned it up when we arrived. Some areas of the house were quite dirty too downstairs but upstairs was immaculate.

Very homely and cosy. Decorated beautifully. Hot tub was fantastic. Beds were so comfy. Gorgeous garden space and lots of outdoor seating options. Was nice to have a dog crate and bed there, and water bowls and balls.
Outdoor cushions were very appealing so didn’t use. outdoor light in garden doesn’t work so sat in darkness. When we arrived there was half a roll of toilet paper so had to buy some more.

We could see the place was made with love by their owner, but the management company who is looking after the cottage isn't doing it well
It wasn't clean at all, not washing products in the kitchen, messy cupboards in the kitchen area. Limited and bad quality (also dirty!) cutleries, pans, glasses (only 2 wine glasses for the house where 4 adults may stay!) Sand and dirt in the hot tub. Also the hot tub was turned to a minimum temperature - never seen anything like that for guests arrival!
All it needs is someone looking over with open eyes and thinking what whoever stays there might require. We have been left with one roll of toilet paper for 2 nights for 3 people. No washing products left for the dishwasher. Under the sink was a complete mess with old and dirty washing cloths etc.
