The location of this camp is out of this world experience of meeting South Africa wildlife in person! If you book that camp be prepared to spend nights in the tents, but don't be scared - "tents" they are in name, but actually they are tough fabric cabins covered over the fabric roof with hard second roof. Tents are built on the high wooden platform about 5 ft (1.5 m) above the ground with nice deck in front. there are 11 tents in the camp only, so it's very intimate experience. Each tent has nice seating are in front, mosquito net protected king bed, and flush toilet and shower. In our case we were just only two guests staying at camp for 1.5 days of two! (due to low season). Nights are relatively cold at that time, but tents were equipped with gas heaters which were turned on for the night by very helpful staff. The wildlife comes to you at any time, elephants were constantly feeding in close proximity, but we felt very secure. The view from the deck or from the main building (where the office, kitchen, and dining are located are amazing. It's so peaceful to have breakfast and watch all king of animals coming to drink water from the large water hole just a little downhill at about no more than 100 yards. The game drives with our guide/driver Werner were full of slow-paced discoveries of the animal lives unfolding before us. Slow pace means you have plenty of time to let the animals to understand that we are not a threat to them and keep going with their "business". Werner knew every corner and path on the reserve and knew where to find hidden "gems". We were very thankful to his deep knowledge of the animals, birds, plants. Unforgettable experience

Stunning set-up and ambiance. Excellently run with attention to detail, and each guest is individually prioritized. Feels raw and immersed in African nature, with many non-imposing luxuries. We were so impressed we extended our stay an extra night. 5Star accommodation meets private safari.

Amazing location, hospitality, expert ranger guides and a wonderful first safari for our group. It’s not cheap but worth every penny as the staff go out of their way to ensure an optimal, personalized and extraordinary experience. Chiavan was a delight and his knowledge of the fauna and flora was endlessly inspiring and informative.

Gorah Elephant Camp has a great location at a waterhole where we saw elephants, zebras, warthogs and rhinos (at night).
The game drives were disappointing with few sightings. The sun loungers at the pool were not clean and there were many insects in the pool.
