We did ask for rooms together and at first we were assigned one room near the beach and one WAY up a hill - and it's a steep enough cement drive that it was going to seriously interfere with our families interacting. Carlos was SUPER helpful in getting this resolved for us - he worked hard to give us the best possible outcome. The rooms were a bit quirky and older - but nice and clean with great views!! The staff was super, the location perfect, and the restaurant very handy.
I rate the room with a medium face because the bathroom arrangement is up uneven steps and slippery for night-time visits, the light on the air conditioner lit the room up like a full moon. Some of the rooms were a little crowded, but honestly we spent most of our time outside (which is kind of the point of Costa Rica!)

The view is amazing! The monkeys and macaws were beautiful and fun!
Walking up the hill and steps to our bungalow was not easy or fun especially with the humidity. Need to have a golf cart available.

Great location with stunning views over the bay and close to the pick up point for boat trips to the NP and for Cano island snorkelling trips. They picked us up from the airstrip, 20 mins from the hotel. They booked our trip to the Corcovado NP long before we arrived as needs booking in advance. Claudio’s restaurant adjoins the hotel. Very good food although staff a bit more surely than we had found in rest of CR
We were in room 11, 150 steps above the hotel so fantastic views but hard work to get up the steps. The steps are worth it for the view and a lovely terrace to the room for watching the scarlet macaws flying by

The room and the view.
Staff was a bit dismissive, felt burnt out. Location is tough, it's beautiful but it's halfway between the town and the food beaches, so you get neither without a hike. Beach in front of property is not nice for swimming.
Restaurant is different. It is not the one advertised. It's ok but not as good as the reputation of the last place.
