My friend and I travelled to Morocco for the first time and stayed at Riad Tizgui for 3 nights, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The riad itself is beautiful, clean, peaceful, and located in a very safe area. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and looked after.
A special thanks to our amazing hosts — Omar, the manager, who made us feel right at home from day one; Mehdi, who was incredibly friendly, helpful, and an absolute pleasure to chat with (especially as a huge fan of Indian cinema 😄); and of course Abdul and Hurel, who were both so kind and caring throughout our stay.
Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. It really felt less like staying at a hotel and more like staying with people who genuinely care about their guests.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and would 100% recommend Riad Tizgui to anyone visiting Morocco, especially if it’s your first time. We’d happily stay here again!

Extremely friendly staff. Very handily located both close to the main square and also a vehicle drop off/pick up location. The small pool was good fun in the heat. Rooms were cool and with air con.

Our stays in Tizgui were fantastic. Mehdi made us by far the best breakfast we’ve had in Morocco (out of 6 hotels), with eggs that the best French chefs would be happy with, and amazing pancakes and Msemen. This is served on the rooftop terrace, a wonderfully calm spot in the heart of busy Marrakech.
Hurel, the night guard, was also great. He was already very welcoming and helpful the first time we stayed, but the second time he made it feel like we were coming home to family. He was also very helpful when there was a small issue with the room.
We have however never experienced a person as helpful as Omar, the manager. Our plans after staying at Tizgui included a long distance hike, but as usual we weren’t prepared that well. We had however severely underestimated how difficult it would be to compensate for this lack of planning in Marrakech. Luckily for us however, we had Omar come in to the rescue. He spent literal hours helping us get hiking gear, plan out our route into the mountains to the start of the trail, and helping us do all of this in the budget conscious way we need to. It is hard to overstate how much he helped make our experience in Morocco smoother. Getting all of our things in order would’ve taken us a full day on our own, but thanks to his help we were able to still have a fun day in Marrakech.
In conclusion, I will absolutely come back to Tizgui when I’m eventually back in Marrakech, and it’s absolutely become a home away from home.

Loved the breakfast also and how peaceful and safe location is. It also very close to shopping markets and very convenient for public transport. It has a very homely feel and the cleaner made sure it was well kept. I even had money left out and came back and found it untouched. Very trustworthy staff.
This is minor but sometimes you can hear conversations from loud guests outside. More so the guest than the property.
