Property was weary clean and the staff was truly amazing upon our arrival and departure.
Unfortunately there was not one restaurant opened in town except the hotel. We decided to eat there and the food was great
. However staying two nights, we would have preferred going out the first night for a light mean and a good meal at the hotel the second night

Living up to the emphasis on being a 'restaurant with rooms' the evening meal was superb: a short well composed menu, expertly cooked. The dining room was dignified and a bit special, as if to give the food the respect it deserved, while at the same time managing to achieve a pleasant relaxed atmosphere.
The room was a bit cramped and no view to speak of, but that wasn't why we were there. It suited us just fine to have simple accommodation with an excellent dinner less than 3 hours drive from the Cherbourg ferry at the start of our journey south.

The rooms were comfortable. The hotel was relatively central also.
The staff did not make us feel welcome.
